Votaniko started out of frustration with ordinary supermarket vitamin bottles. Most commercial formulas rely on synthetic chemical isolates pressed into tablets with chalky glues, synthetic lubricants, and artificial food colorings that offer little connection to real plants. We wanted something closer to the wild herbs that grow naturally on the hillsides around Heraklion.
We decided to build a simple botanical workshop focused on pure food-state extracts. We source standardized acerola cherries for genuine plant vitamin C, robust Cretan olive leaves, and aromatic wild oregano. Every dry herb is blended without chemical additives and encapsulated into pure plant cellulose shells before being sealed in protective amber glass.
Because we run our own packing bench, we inspect every single jar lid and tamper seal ourselves. There are no retail middlemen or overseas trading companies standing between our Heraklion shop and your morning breakfast table.
How we prepare each batch
We inspect every botanical delivery for clear colour and fresh herbal fragrance before filling our capsules. Before cardboard cartons are taped shut, our team checks the inner seal on every single amber bottle.
We taste, smell, and verify every botanical harvest that enters our workshop. If an olive leaf batch lacks its crisp aroma, we send it straight back.
